Internships
Do you want to help shape the future of energy while completing your degree?
Senex’s paid internship program provides the next generation of technical professionals a unique insight into a career in the natural gas industry.
During our 12-week program you will lead a major project prescribed by your manager, whilst supporting your team to deliver current project and operational requirements. At the conclusion of the program, you will present your project and how it contributes to Senex’s strategy and values to fellow interns, leaders and the Senex Executive Committee.
As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to visit our sites, work with industry experts and gain valuable experience in your technical field.

Traineeships
Senex Energy partners with TAFE Queensland to run a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations traineeship program. This nationally recognised program develops a trainee’s skills in operating production equipment and opens a range of possibilities across the natural gas industry and further study pathways.
At the end of the program, trainees receive a technical qualification and the necessary skillset to be an operator at Senex.
Wherever possible, Senex looks to hire and develop trainees locally to maximise the flow-on benefits that living and working locally can bring to the region. Offering locally-based traineeships helps to boost our future talent pipeline and provide significant opportunities for eager and capable people living locally.
Trainees are mentored and trained by qualified Senex supervisors and operators.
