Chief Financial Officer

Renet du Plessis is an experienced finance executive and Chartered Accountant with more than two decades of senior finance and accounting experience across the energy, government and professional services sectors.

As Chief Financial Officer at Senex, Renet leads the company’s finance function, with responsibility for financial strategy, reporting, governance, tax, treasury and financial control. She has played a key role in supporting Senex through significant growth and increasing complexity, including major transactions and capital expansion, while driving finance transformation, system implementations and the continued strengthening of financial governance and controls.

Before joining Senex in 2021, Renet built the foundations of her career in professional services, spending 18 years with PwC. She subsequently founded Wedgetail Financial Reporting, providing outsourced and interim CFO services to organisations navigating growth and change. Her roles included Chief Financial Officer of the Queensland Productivity Commission, Interim Chief Financial Officer of WearOptimo, and Finance Lead for the establishment of CleanCo Queensland.

Across her career, Renet has led finance functions through significant growth and complexity, combining strong technical foundations with commercial judgement, disciplined governance and a focus on delivering high-quality business outcomes.
