How to keep Queensland natural gas flowing

What Senex is asking for to help it fast track Queensland’s natural gas supply:

  1. Incentivise tenure release and transfer: provide existing tenure holders commercial incentives to release and sell productive acreage to Senex for development
  2. Provide regulatory certainty: policy and regulatory certainty at State and Federal levels provides the foundation for investment confidence
  3. Create efficient approval pathways: apply a whole-of-government approach to deliver timely approvals

Government support and advocacy for:

  • Queensland and Federal Government cooperation to support a Surat Basin Regional Assessment to streamline Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC) assessments, reducing approval times
  • Recognition of Queensland’s Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment’s work in the EPBC assessment process
  • Changes to the EPBC Act to allow the transfer of tenements with EPBC approval that form part of a larger development project and have previously been assessed and approved.
